Description: We built an instrument using bottles, rubber bands, wood, and water. First we made a base for the instrument. We cut a 2 X 4 into four pieces and screwed them on in a shape of a square. Then we put 2 pieces of wood in the middle of the structure and wrapped rubber bands tightly around them. We filled the bottles with different amounts of water and placed them between the rubber bands.
Concepts: When there was less water the bottle vibrated more when hit. When it had more water the bottle vibrated less. More water makes a deeper sound when hit. Less water makes a higher sound when hit.
Reflection: What went well was that we were focused all the time and communicated well with each other. When we got behind because we changed groups we had to communicate and plan outside of school of what we had to do to make our project great and get it done on time. Our focus was really good and were able to use time well. I learned that I am a good communicator and can share good ideas to help my group succeed. We could have worked better on how we were going to present. The second thing that we could of done better was that we should have done more research on how the Physics worked on our instrument. I will continue to improve on working hard and do the best I can to make my project as good as it can be.
